We often hear many of the same questions from our clients regarding school dances. Here are the questions and our answers.
Q: Do you have 'clean' or 'edited' versions of the songs?
A: Many of the newest Top 40/Hip-Hop/Rap songs have two versions - the full version and the 'radio edit'. We play the 'radio edit' version when deejaying at school dances to avoid running into 'adult content' and 'inappropriate language' issues.
Q: Will you take our requests?
A: We count on your requests to make your dance successful! The only way we know which songs you'd like to hear is when you're requesting them. We may hold requests for a while before playing them (for example, we may have a Country set or a Rap set) but we will make every effort to include every request in the mix!
Q: Can you make announcements?
A: Absolutely! We can make necessary announcements throughout the evening or provide our wireless microphones for you to use. We regularly announce contest winners, special dances, requests & dedications, and "operational" announcements at school dances.
Q: The last DJ we had was just plain mean...will you be that way?
A: Some DJs just aren't cut out to handle a few hundred kids at a school dance. Here at the Edge, we love deejaying school dances and have a blast doing it...and we can't hide it! Your DJ will be professional, friendly, entertaining...and will most likely be having just as much fun as you and your classmates.
